Choose the level of support that’s right for you...

The Studio and Studio Plus Cohorts are both guided 9-week learning experiences. You'll move through the course week by week, building your skills through practice, reflection and real-world application alongside a small group of people who care about communicating ideas that matter.

Both cohorts include the complete course experience. The difference is how much support, feedback and personalised guidance you'd like along the way.

Designed for professionals and changemakers, this programme helps you develop practical visual communication skills that you can use immediately in your work.

For a fee comparable to hiring an external visual notetaker for a single event, you'll develop a skill you can use in every meeting, workshop, presentation and community conversation for years to come. Imagine approaching your next project with the confidence to capture, organise and communicate complex ideas clearly, creatively and inclusively.

The goal isn't better drawings. It's better conversations, better understanding, and better communication.

Not sure which to choose?

If you’re on the fence, here’s a way to think about it:

  • If you mainly want structure, ideas, and space to practise → Studio Cohort

  • If you want feedback, clarity, and faster confidence → Studio Plus Cohort

What this can unlock for you

By the end of the 9 weeks, participants typically find they can:

  • Turn complex ideas into clear, engaging visual notes

  • Follow and capture conversations in real time

  • Develop a personal, repeatable sketchnoting approach

  • Communicate their work in ways that are more accessible and impactful

And just as importantly:

  • Feel more confident sharing ideas visually

  • Let go of the belief that they 'can’t draw'

  • Start using sketchnoting in their day-to-day work

Need some help securing employer funding?

Training budgets can be limited and employers need to see clear value before approving professional development requests. This course is designed to build practical communication skills that can support engagement, learning, collaboration and impact across a wide range of changemaking contexts.

To make the process easier, you can use this simple Training Request template and adapt to your role, organisation and goals. It will help you explain the value of the course and make a strong case for why this investment will benefit both you and your work.

A small cohort, by design

This course is intentionally limited to 20 participants in total, 14 in the Studio Cohort and just 6 in the Studio Plus Cohort.

That keeps the space:

  • Focused

  • supportive

  • and genuinely interactive

The small group on Studio Plus ensures you get the best out of the group mentoring sessions.

A final note...

This isn’t about becoming an artist.

It’s about learning a way to think, communicate, and connect ideas visually, in a way that supports the work you already care about.

If that matters to you, you’ll get a lot from this.
